3.Description
The ALED7707 device consists of an automotivegrade (AEC Q100 compliant) monolithic boostconverter and six controlled current generators(rows) specifically designed to supply LED arraysused in the backlighting of LCD panels. Thedevice can manage an output voltage up to 36 V(i.e.: 10 white LEDs per row).
The generators can be externally programmed tosink up to 85 mA and can be dimmed via a PWMsignal (1% dimming duty cycle at 1 kHz can bemanaged). The device allows the open and shorted LED faults to be detected andmanaged and unused rows to be let floating. Basic protections (outputovervoltage, internal MOSFET overcurrent andthermal shutdown) are provided
